Shelter Me: Cat Tales
Shelter Me: Cat Tales. Matt O'Donnell reports during Action News at 9 a.m. on November 4, 2017.

WARRINGTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- It's a happy ending for one cat recently featured on Shelter Me.

When a viewer saw Dezi Le Pew make his debut, she couldn't believe her eyes.

"I'm just so glad that I saw this on TV, I don't think I would have adopted a cat if I hadn't been sitting there looking at 6abc," says Dezi's new owner Jacqui Meshurle.

Dezi Le Pew was featured on our Shelter Me segment a few weeks ago.

He was found in a dirty garage in Philadelphia.

When Meshurle saw Dezi on TV, she couldn't believe her eyes.

That's because Dezi has an uncanny resemblance to Rudy Guiliani, Meshurle's cat who recently passed away.

"He looked so much like my cat, and I just had to have him," Meshurle says.

She contacted Cat Tales right away and adopted him.

Dezi was a staff favorite at Cat Tales, but there are plenty more who need love.

Sunny is a 1-year-old cat found with his sister, Snowflake, in a trashcan in North Philadelphia.

Sunny has a neurological condition that affects his hind legs.

"He really gets around very well, and he has a lot of energy and uses his litter box like a champ,," says Secretary of the Board and Volunteer Coordinator at Cat Tales, Jeanne Voronin.

Rose lost her home when her owner passed away.

"She's considered a senior cat which you would never know because she is very lively, very active. She loves to be held normally, just a real sweetheart," says Voronin.

And 2-year-old Maxine is a tuxedo cat that was picked up as a stray. She went on to give birth to five kittens, and then nurse five more kittens who weren't even hers.

Now she is ready for her forever home.
