Smiling shelter dog is winning over the internet with his adorable smirk

WALLER, Texas (WPVI) -- A photo of an adorable, smiley pup at a shelter in Waller, Texas has gone viral on Facebook.

The dog, named Cheech, was rescued by the City of Waller Animal Shelter and Rescue.

A Facebook post from October 20 shows Cheech posing for prospective forever families with an adorable smirk on his face.

Since the photo was posted, the rescue has received a number of messages about adopting Cheech.

He has since been adopted.

The shelter, which serves as the only animal shelter in the county, was founded by first responders and residents in an effort to save the animals from being euthanized at the pound.

The shelter is currently taking donations as it completes renovations.
