4-year-old dog abused by owner ready to find his forever home
4-year-old dog abused by owner ready to find his forever home. Nydia Han reports during Action News at 6 a.m. on December 16, 2017.

A dog who was severely abused by his owner has been nursed back to health and is now ready for his forever home.

In the meantime, the PSPCA is hoping to file felony charges against the man allegedly responsible for abusing him.

The four-year-old pit bull mix named Haze was surrendered last month with severe injuries to his hind leg. Turns out, he had a number of broken bones.

Investigators say his owner admitted to intentionally hurting him.

Haze had to have his leg amputated, but has made a full recovery and is available for adoption.
