Armed robbers steal $12K from Family Dollar in Philadelphia

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say armed suspects stole $12,000 from a dollar store in Kensington.

The holdup happened at the Family Dollar on the 300 block of East Allegheny Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators say two men walked into the store armed with a gun, stole the cash, and took off.

Police have not released descriptions of the suspects who remain at large.
