Philadelphia firefighter retires after 45 years without ever missing a day of work

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia firefighter is retiring after an impressive 45 years on the job.

Even more stunning, he never missed a day of work!

Firefighter Irv Cohen was honored by his colleagues at Engine 46 in Torresdale.

Cohen's son is also now serving as a firefighter.

Cohen's colleagues say he was always willing and ready to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of firefighters and he will be missed.
