1 person rescued from house blaze in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say one person was rescued from a fire early this morning at a home in South Philadelphia.

It happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday on the 900 block of South 10th Street.

The fire was located in the basement and spread to the first floor.

The resident was rescued from the rear deck by firefighters.

There is no word yet on a cause.
