Mayor Jim Kenney's father dies suddenly Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- James F. Kenney, Mayor Jim Kenney's father, passed away suddenly Tuesday.

He was 83 years old.

Funeral arrangements are pending.

The Mayor's office released a statement asking for privacy for the family.

The mayor has canceled all public appearances the remainder of the week.
