It happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tioga Street and Frankford Avenue.
According to Philadelphia police, an 18-year-old man was behind the wheel of a blue Nissan SUV which was reported stolen on Monday.
Police say the teen came speeding up Frankford and collided into another car head-on.
The stolen Nissan then crashed into the store.
Police say if employees had not been behind the counter they could've been killed by car that crashed into the store.— Jeannette Reyes (@6abcJeannette) May 17, 2017
Frankford resident Chandler Beranger witnessed it all.
"This blue car comes speeding by and then crashes into that car and goes into the store," Beranger said.
The stolen SUV went through the front window of the store, ending up with merchandise all over its hood.
Police say two female employees, a 19-year-old and a pregnant 20-year-old, were inside the store at the time of the crash. Authorities say they could have been killed had they not been behind the counter.
No one was seriously injured in the incident, police say.
A second person inside the stolen SUV remains on the loose.
