Vigil held after death of 10-month-old at North Philadelphia day care

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Family members gathered Saturday night in North Philadelphia to mourn an infant who died earlier this week.

The group hugged, placed teddy bears and lit candles outside of the Sisters Child Care Center in the 3500 block of Germantown Avenue.

On Wednesday, a 10-month-old baby girl was found unresponsive at the day care.

Investigators say an employee tried to perform CPR, but never called 911.

The state has shut down the facility to ensure the safety of other children.

Autopsy results have still not been released.
