Philadelphia Fire Department honors fallen firefighter

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- It was a day to celebrate and a day to honor.

The Philadelphia Fire Department posthumously promoted Michael Bernstein to Lieutenant during a ceremony at the University of Pennsylvania.

The 22-year firefighter veteran died while on duty in March.

Thirty-six uniformed firefighters and seven non-uniformed members of the department also received promotions today.
