Officer injured after cruiser struck in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia police officer was hurt in a crash Friday night on Woodhaven Road near Roosevelt Boulevard.

Authorities believe the officer was sitting in his cruiser during a traffic stop when he was rear-ended in Northeast Philadelphia.

The officer was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in stable condition.
