PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A pedestrian was struck by an out-of-service SEPTA train in Philadelphia Tuesday night.
It happened just after 10 p.m. in the area of 19th and Westmoreland streets in the Tioga-Nicetown section.
SEPTA officials said the train was heading to the yard when the incident occurred.
Paramedics had to wait until the power was cut to rescue the victim.
The victim was badly injured, but still alive.
Since the train was out of service when the incident occurred, there were no passengers on board.
