Shooting call leads Philadelphia police to 3-car crash, no victims found

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The report of a shooting led Philadelphia police to the scene of a three-car crash.

It happened just after 2 a.m. Thursday at North 53rd and Poplar streets in the Parkside section.

The call took another strange turn when the officers couldn't find any of the drivers involved in the wreck.

No shooting victims have turned up either.

Police are continuing to investigate.
