16-year-old hospitalized after being shot in the back in Summerdale

SUMMERDALE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police continue to investigate a shooting that left a 16-year-old injured in the city's Summerdale section.

Police were called to the 800 block of Marcella Street around 11:30 p.m. Friday for reports of gunfire.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a 16-year-old boy shot once in the lower back.

The victim was quickly rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

So far, no arrests have been made.
