Police search for Society Hill thief

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for the person who broke into a car in broad daylight in Society Hill.

Investigators released surveillance video that shows the crime back on March 13th. It shows a man looking at a car parked on the 400 block of Lombard Street.

A short time later, the man comes back and tries to break the passenger's side window. He couldn't do it, so he broke the driver's side window instead. Then police say he took $3,350 worth of items from the car and ran off.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the suspect to call them.
