TIOGA-NICETOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police were on the scene of a double shooting in the Tioga-Nicetown section that critically injured two men.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 3600 block of North Sydenham Street.

Officers arrived to find two men, both 22, with gunshot wounds inside a Chevy minivan.

One victim was shot multiple times in the leg. The second male was shot in the back and abdomen.

Police say 11 shots were fired from a large semi-automatic weapon. Investigators found spent shell casings by the minivan.

The victims tried to drive away, but lost control of the vehicle then crashed into a parked car.

Both victims were taken by officers to Temple University Hospital. They are listed in critical condition.
