Police: Death of woman found behind Birdsboro business ruled a suicide

BIRDSBORO, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police say an autopsy on Thursday has revealed the woman found in a wooded area behind a Berks County business committed suicide.

The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Michelle Amos of Birdsboro.

Amos' body was discovered around 11 a.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of Main Street.

Pennsylvania State Police spent nearly seven hours combing the wooded area that sits nestled between a residential neighborhood, a coffee warehouse and some railroad tracks.

Amos was the mother of five children.
