Police: Man accidentally shoots himself in Gloucester County

MANTUA TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WPVI) -- A report of a shooting forced residents out of their homes early Tuesday morning in Mantua Township.

Police were called to the Villages of Berkley apartments late last night for a report of a man who was shot.

After an investigation, police learned the victim had accidentally shot himself.

He was treated at Cooper Hospital and released.

There was no one else hurt.
