Police officer, 2 others injured in Wilmington crash

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- A police officer has been injured after a car crash in Wilmington.

The crash happened around 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Walnut and A streets.

Police say the accident occurred when a car attempted to make a left turn from the right lane striking an unmarked police car.

The impact caused the police car to hit a pole.

Two people from the striking car and the police officer were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
