SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- In a little more than three months from now, Philadelphia will play host to the 2016 Democratic National Convention. And as the city and planning committee hone in on every last logistical detail, on Tuesday media outlets got a look at the layout.

The Democratic National Convention Committee hosted a walkthrough at the Wells Fargo Center ahead of the convention, which kicks off on July 25th.

Convention CEO Rev. Leah Daughtry says they are on task, on time and on budget. She says the setup is intended to make everyone at home feel like they are at the convention and part of the action.

Rev. Daughtry explains, "Our goal this year is to make this convention the most engaging, inspiring and forward looking convention in history. We want more Americans than ever before to feel connected to the convention experience, even if they are thousands of miles away."

And the Wells Fargo Center will be home base for most of the convention activity.

The city expects about 50,000 visitors for all of the action this July.
