Welcome banner for pope unveiled in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A big sign marking the Pope's upcoming visit to Philadelphia is now hanging on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul unveiled a welcome banner Wednesday afternoon in anticipation of the pope's September arrival and the World Meeting of Families.

Pope Francis will lead a mass at the cathedral on September 26th.

It's an invitation-only event.
