Man struck 7 times in Port Richmond shooting

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say a man was hit multiple times by gunfire in Port Richmond Monday afternoon.

The shooting happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. in the area of Amber Street and East Auburn Street.

Police officers arrived to find the man suffering from seven gunshot wounds.

They rushed him to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police say they believe the man was targeted, but so far have not names suspects in the shooting.
