Man struck by vehicle in West Mount Airy

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 60-year-old man is hospitalized Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle in Philadelphia's West Mount Airy neighborhood.

It happened before 9:30 p.m. on Wayne Avenue at West Pastorius Street.

The victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. So far, there is no word on his condition.

It's not clear if the driver in the striking vehicle stopped.
