Power outage affects 4600 in Roxborough

ROXBOROUGH (WPVI) -- Several thousand people spent part of Monday morning without power in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.

An outage affected about 4600 customers - including businesses - along Ridge Avenue.

Traffic lights along the busy artery were also affected.

Peco sent repair crews to the area after the outage was first reported, just after 8:00 a.m.

The sources was an equipment problem at a substation.

Peco said power was restored to the area by 10:00 a.m.
