PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput is getting help connecting with local Latino Roman Catholics.

In Center City Philadelphia Tuesday morning, Chaput introduced Reverend Monsignor Edward Deliman as his next Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Chaput, who admits he doesn't speak Spanish well, asked Pope Francis to appoint someone who could fill that need.

Deliman has been a priest for 43 year, including stints at Saint Bonaventure Parish in North Philadelphia and most recently at Saint Charles Borromeo Parish in Bensalem.

He has been ministering to the Hispanic community since 1978.

Deliman will be ordained as an Auxiliary Bishop on August 18th.
