'Vatican Splendors' exhibit opens at the Franklin Institute

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- An exclusive papal exhibition straight from the Vatican in Rome will open to the public this weekend.

"Vatican Splendors" is at the Franklin Institute.

It opens Saturday, September 19 - exactly one week before Pope Francis arrives.

The 10,000 square foot exhibition will be one of the largest Vatican collections ever to tour the United States.

It will be at the Franklin Institute through mid-February.
