Man critical after being struck in Rhawnhurst

RHAWNHURST (WPVI) -- A man is critical after being struck by a car in Philadelphia's Rhawnhurst section.

The accident happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday on the 7900 block of Bustleton Avenue.

Police say a man, believed to be in his 60s, was struck by a silver sedan as he attempted to cross the road.

Medics responded and rushed the man to Aria Health Torresdale.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene.
