Washing machine fish tank
A Rochester appliance store has a new conversation piece.

ROCHESTER, NY -- The owners of a Rochester appliance store have turned an old, unused washing machine into a fish tank.

Dean Eaton, of Rochester Appliance, along with friend Jeremy Stowell, invested about 50 hours over the course of three weeks converting the machine. They even added color-changing LED lights for extra pizzazz.

The new-found aquarium is a big hit with customers though the owners warn: It's not for sale. But Eaton did post directions on how to make one of your own on the Rochester Appliance blog.

"It's a great application for an appliance showroom, not so much for somebody's living room," Eaton said. "Plus, the liability is crazy high. I don't want to deal with someone where I flooded their living level."
