Search for North Philadelphia gunman, victim critical

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A gunman opened fire in North Philadelphia then vanished without a trace.

Police say a 42-year-old man was found shot in the back on the 400 block of West Norris Street around midnight Wednesday.

Police are reviewing security video that shows the victim staggering and holding his side, before collapsing at that location.

But officers have not found any shell casings there, and neighbors say they did not hear any gunshots.

The victim is in the hospital in critical condition.
