Awards ceremony for Delaware County senior athletes

DREXEL HILL, Pa. (WPVI) -- The annual Winner's Circle Reception for the 2015 Delaware County Senior Games was held Wednesday in Drexel Hill.

More than 350 athletes took part in the sporting events from June 8-19.

The games included golf, shuffle board and track & field.

This year's oldest honoree is 99-year-old Sye Brandman.

He's been competing in the games for over 12 years and his best sport is bowling.

The mission of the games is to engage older adults in two weeks of events that promote a healthy, social and active lifestyle.

They are sponsored by Delaware County Council, the Department of Parks and Recreation, the County Office of Services for the Aging and the Brandywine Conference & Visitor's Bureau.
