Woman struck, killed by SEPTA bus

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman attempting to cross the street was struck by a SEPTA bus Monday morning, officials said.

It happened around 10:35 a.m. near the intersection of 56th and Vine streets.

Police said the woman was walking on the highway when she was struck by a Route G bus.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the incident.
