Police search for serial robbery suspect in Philadelphia

Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with at least 8 robberies in Philadelphia over the last three weeks.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with at least 8 robberies in Philadelphia over the last three weeks.

The first robbery happened back on February 23 at the Rite Aid on the 300 block of East Allegheny Avenue.

There, the suspect handed the clerk a demand note and got away with an unknown amount of cash.

Police say the robber has also been involved in several other similar hold-ups in the city.

- March 4 at Little Caesars Pizza on the 5400 block of Rising Sun Avenue

- March 4 at Wine & Spirits store on the 3700 block of L Street

- March 7 at 7-Eleven on the 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue

- March 8 at Burger King on the 5900 block of Rising Sun Avenue

- March 8 at Dunkin Donuts on the 6300 block of Castor Avenue

- March 10 at Payless Shoe Source on the 700 block of East Hunting Park Avenue

- March 10 at CVS on the 5800 block of Rising Sun Avenue

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male around 30 years old, 5'7" tall with a medium build.

If you see this suspect do not approach him, contact 911 immediately.
