A man is hospitalized after being shot in the face in front of a coin store in Hamilton Twp., N.J.

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A man is hospitalized after being shot in front of a coin store in Hamilton Twp., N.J.



It happened at 3 a.m. Friday in the 4300 block of South Broad Street.



Officers arrived to the find the man had been shot in the jaw.



The victim was able to tell police he was riding as a passenger in a car when he heard a gunshot and realized he had been shot.



He jumped out of the car and started running. Officers found him shortly after that.



Medics rushed the man to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a gunshot wound and for injuries he sustained when he jumped out of the vehicle.



There was no immediate word on his condition.
