Teen shot, critically wounded in Tioga-Nicetown

TIOGA-NICETOWN (WPVI) -- A teenager was fighting for his life after a shoot-out in Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown section.

It happened around midnight on the 1400 block of Lenox Avenue.

Police say the 19-year-old was shot multiple times by another man who claimed it was self-defense.

The teen was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The shooter told officers he was defending himself after the teen opened fire on him.

That man was being questioned.

Police said he does have a license to carry.

So far no charges have been filed.
