PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Black Friday is just a few days away and while the online deals and discounts are already enticing - with these hacks, you could save even more.

First: shop now but buy later.

"So fill up that shopping cart in the week before Black Friday but don't click buy and the retailers will see that you wanted to buy and they will send you a coupon to entice you," said personal finance expert, Janet Alvarez.

Alvarez says you could get a coupon for as much as 30 percent off.

"And this is true for Target or Walmart, even for some travel sites like Hotels.com or Expedia," said Alvarez.

Another way to save is to consider the zip code you're in when you're doing your online shopping.

Alvarez says many retailers vary their prices based on geolocation.

"So if you're doing your shopping in an office that's downtown in a pricey zip code, wait until you get home or maybe go to a Starbucks in a lesser affluent part of town and do your shopping there because the geolocation will end up showing you lower prices," she suggests.

Another hack? Go onto eBay after the big shopping days.

"If you go the day after Black Friday or the day after Cyber Monday onto eBay, you'll find people trying to off-load all of this brand new unopened merchandise at rock bottom prices," said Alvarez.

And finally, Alvarez says even on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it pays to ask for an extra discount. Just use the online chat function to request free shipping or an extra 10 to 15 percent off.

"Retailers are really motivated to get you to buy on that day, so you'll get that coupon and in all likelihood you'll probably get free shipping, too," she said.
