Lock of Beethoven's hair up for auction

A piece of music history is up for grabs.

A lock of hair belonging to Ludwig Van Beethoven is going up for auction Tuesday.

The hair was cut off by the German composer himself nearly 200 years ago and given to a close friend. Giving a lock of hair was not an uncommon gift back then.

It's expected to sell for $15,000 to $29,000.
