What's the Deal: Resell and upcycle your goods for quick cash
If you're in the throes of spring cleaning - resale is huge right now!

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- If you're in the throes of spring cleaning - resale is huge right now!

You can make some extra cash with your old goods from online marketplaces like Poshmark and eBay to consignment stores and now mail-in resale services like ThredUp, where you send them your items in a bag and they make you an offer.

Right now, ThredUp says it's an $18 billion industry and rounded up the top 3 brands that will earn you your biggest return on the resale market.

First, the premium denim label 7 For All Mankind is one of the most sought after from shoppers looking for deals on high-end jeans.

If you have anything from Steve Madden in your closet, including shoes, bags, accessories, it's being called the top name on the fastest-selling category.

And if you paid a hundred bucks for a pair of Lululemon leggings and they don't fit - sell them! ThredUp says the brand tops their list for active wear and is the fastest-growing category.

If you're going through the kids' stuff and you have an old, outgrown or outdated car seat taking up space, Target is giving you a chance to upcycle it in exchange for a discount.

Starting Monday, if you bring in an old car seat, Target will give you a 20 percent discount on a new seat of your choice.

Your old ones go to TerraCycle, where they will be recycled into new items.

That promotion runs from April 17th through the 30th.
