Man injured in Germantown shooting

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- A man is hospitalized after shots were fired Saturday night in Germantown.

The incident happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 5500 block of Sprague Street.

Upon arrival, police found a 65-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso inside his home.

He was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Police have yet to determine if the victim was shot on the porch or on the sidewalk, but said he was able to go into the house and alert his daughter of his injuries who then called the police.

Two possible suspects are being investigated, police said.
