A home for a hero

COATESVILLE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A local veteran and purple heart recipient may have just gotten the best Christmas present of his life.

Wednesday, Ted Daniels was handed the keys to a brand new mortgage free home in Coatesville.

The donation was made possible by Wells Fargo and the Military Warriors Support Foundation.

Daniels grew up in Media and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 where he was injured during a Taliban ambush.

He says he looks forward to moving his family in later this week, just in time for the holidays.

He has a U-haul set up, and friends ready to help do the heavy lifting.
