Allentown bakery closes its doors after more than 100 years

ALLENTOWN (WPVI) -- A bakery that has served Allentown for more than 100 years has shut its doors.

Phillip Malone and Sons Bakery says the decision to close was a difficult one.

Since the 1920's the bakery has been supplying bread and pizza to area businesses.

Founder Phillip Malone used to travel door to door selling bread and would often give loaves to people who couldn't afford them.
