Artist makes incredible cereal portraits of famous musicians

One artist has shown their keen creative flair, or flake, rather, for making incredible cereal portraits of famous music icons.

Sarah Rosado is an artist and photographer based out of New York City who has been getting a lot of online attention over her incredible celebrity portraits, composed entirely of breakfast cereal. The process is meticulous to create each portrait, running anywhere between five to eight hours to complete, but the final product definitely shows off Rosado's keen artistic palette.

"There's a lot of effort that goes into creating each one," Rosado told ABC in an email. "The cereal has to be crushed into very tiny pieces for the special features such as the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. It's almost like working with a broken puzzle; each bit and piece has to have the right size to fit perfectly."

Rosado said she was inspired to create the portrait series when she was eating breakfast and listening to music.

"The inspiration for the series came one morning when one day while eating cereal and listening to oldies and R&B music," Rosado told ABC. "he idea to create celebrity faces with cornflakes was born; 'because music has never tasted so good', I thought. And at that moment I was struck with the idea to create images of my favorite artists with the cereal."

Since then, Rosado has brought breakfast life to popular musicians like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, and Rihanna, amongst others. Out of musicians she hasn't done yet, Rosado says that she would love to portrait Katy Perry. Even though Rosado is proud of all her portraits, there is one thrilling musician whose cornflake remains supreme in covered in her artistic bowl.

"I have so many favorites, but if I have to pick one, it would be Michael Jackson," Rosado said.
