Boys and girls club returns to Wilmington
Monday marked a long-awaited moment for families and leaders in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Monday marked a long-awaited moment for families and leaders in Wilmington.

Hundreds of kids will have a place to go this summer because the Boys and Girls Club is restarting a summer program in the city's Hedgeville and Browntown neighborhoods.

Pulaski Elementary will host activities for children ages twelve and younger, while teenagers will attend a second program at Parkway Academy.

The community's original Jackson Street Boys Club has been closed for the past several years.

Leaders are looking into the possibility of renovating and reopening the original building.
