Bristol Borough needs YOUR vote to win $500,000 Main Street makeover contest

BRISTOL BOROUGH, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Bucks County community is close to winning a $500,000 contest, and there are only a few more hours to help Bristol Borough officially become America's most inspiring small town.

Right now they're second out of five towns still in the running.

The grand prize money would pay for a Main Street makeover.

The competition started out with 14,000 nominees.

Along with the cash, the winning town will also be featured in a series about economic revitalization.

Bristol has been holding strong, but recently lost the number one spot to North Adams, Massachusetts.

This has been a real community effort, and if they win an organization in Bristol called Raising the Bar will decide what businesses will get money, and the much-needed boost.

They say they are a small, hardworking town with a lot of pride - especially in their local mom and pop shops.

The winner will be revealed next week. The online poll closes at midnight Thursday.
