Capital City My Brother's Keeper
Providing opportunities to boys and young men of color

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A short time ago, Trenton mayor Eric Jackson announced 'Capital City My Brother's Keeper.'

It's similar to President Obama's "My Brother's Keeper" alliance.

The goal is to provide more opportunities to boys and young men of color by eliminating educational achievement gaps.

Trenton will form a plan to improve childhood literacy and reduce chronic absenteeism in the city's schools.

The mayor wants a formal plan announced by next June 24th.
