Capt. Noah honored

WYNNEFIELD (WPVI) -- A special tribute Wednesday for a recently departed member of our channel 6 family, Carter Merbreier, better known as Captain Noah.

Merbrier was honored posthumously by the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia.

Various photos and mementos displayed at the luncheon, along with so many memories, of the popular children's show he hosted with his wife Patricia, for close to 30 years, on channel 6.

Friends and former colleagues also on hand, including retired weatherman Dave Roberts, and anchor Mark Howard.

Carter Merbreier died back in August, at the age of 90.
