Delaware Military Academy groundbreaking

WILMINGTON, Del (WPVI) -- A first of it's kind is being celebrated at a local academy in Wilmington.

The Delaware Military Academy held a groundbreaking ceremony for an academic and athletic center.

The new building will include eight classrooms and a gymnasium as well as offices, locker rooms and a training facility.

Delaware Military Academy is the first and only full, Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps High School in the country.

Delaware Congressman Tom Carper who served in the US Navy attended today's ceremony.
