Dixon Police join neighborhood kids in water gun fight

Police in Dixon, Ill. found a way to beat the heat along with some neighborhood kids: a water gun fight!

The local police department shared the boisterous interaction on its Facebook page on July 21, saying, "A first hand experience to what was occurring in our city today!"

Since then the video has been viewed more than 4 million times. Numerous comments left by Facebook users have praised police officers like these who work to build relationships with their community.

"That's exactly the starting point for our police to interact with our children," wrote one Facebook user. "Kids will naturally grow up remembering and having good relations with the police."
