Eagles' hype continues on the road to the championship
Eagles' hype continues on the road to the championship. Bob Brooks reports during Action News at 6 p.m. on January 20, 2018.

The momentum continues to build on the road to the NFC Championship game.

Meet Eagles legend and former kicker David Akers at Bill's Sports Cards and Memorabilia in Northeast Philadelphia.

Akers said, "This team has a cohesiveness that is obvious to people who were able to play and that part is extremely special."

And here's what he wants out of the fans, "Loud rabid just nonstop," Akers said.

From the looks of the fans here, the crowd at the Linc should have no problem with that.

We also spoke with Jessica Mason from Bill's Sports Cards and Memorabilia. She found a post on Facebook that she thinks proves it's the "year of the Birds."

Part of it reads:

"Lucky number 9 Foles. Lucky color? Eagles green. So it all just makes too much sense? Yep!"

From there it was onto some fun at the Garden State Discovery Museum.

Fans of all ages are ready for the game.

But it was our last stop that made all the difference for us.

Eagles Super Fan Wendy Robinson of Chester said, "I'm hanging, gotta hang in here. We got a game tomorrow. I'm ready. I'll be sitting up ready."

She's staying in the ICU at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park.

Wendy got sick attending the Eagles win against the Falcons. The cold impacted her lungs.

She said, "But me being a diehard fan that I am I took the beating took that beating but still ticking though."

But as you can see no fan will be better dressed for the game.

She actually knows her X's and O's.

"As long as they keep the ball ok the ground and keep that running game going, we got it going on," Wendy said.

Alright, now I asked Wendy do you think the Eagles will win.

She told me, of course, they're gonna win.

And then forgave me for asking such a pointless question.
