Joining the long line of blue

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Eight months of training paid off for dozens of Philadelphia police recruits.

The men and women of Class 373 marched into McGonigle Hall at Temple University Friday, for their Police Academy graduation.

They were sworn-in after they pledged to uphold their duties.

They also heard from Mayor Michael Nutter and Commissioner Charles Ramsey.

And the stands were full of their loved ones who gave them a standing ovation.
