Latina waitress says customers left racist message on check

A Latina waitress in Virginia says customers left a racist note on their check and refused to tip her for her service.

Surveillance video from inside the restaurant shows a couple signing their check.

But where they would have left a tip, they instead wrote in: "We only tip citizens."

Waitress Sadie Elledge says not only were they rude and disrespectful, they are also wrong.

"I was born here but I'm Mexican and Honduran," she said.

Angry restaurant owner, Angeliki Floros, is in fact an immigrant, and reached out to the patrons on Facebook demanding they apologize.

"If coward is the word to describe what they did. I have worst words to use, but let's go with coward," she said.

Sadie's community has rallied behind her, sending her a kind note and some money to cover the tip and then some.
